MijoShop is a great shopping cart system. It is actually a port of the ever popular OpenCart shopping cart system into the Joomla CMS.
It works fantastically well but the default AusPost shipping code that ships with it is full of bugs and doesn't have all the options needed to run a online store in Australia where I reside and set up stores for clients and my girlfriends website, I Am Infusion - Organic herbal tea infusions.
Now we've been having this issue in Mijoshop popup over and over again upon checking out.
"Warning: Shipping method required!"
and finally I've found the right fix.
So the default AusPost shipping module that comes with MijoShop does not work right and I don't think ever has for all the versions that I have tried and tested and tried to debug. I search for a lot of help and didn't get much on the MijoSoft forums. The documentation on the main website also didn't help much either.
So I finally though, ok I'll expand my searches into OpenCart and see what people were coming up with there. I found a few video tutorials of other people setting up shopping carts with AusPost and they having fully featured options. In fact more options to configure in the AusPost shipping module for MijoShop than I though was even possible.
So I did more and more searching and finally stumbled upon this - OpenCart AusPost Shipping Module.
Installed the thing via copying the files into the right location in
Tested the configuration and PERFECT. More options. Configured all of the options that were now presented to me and tested it on the front end of the website and PERFECT all working with no stupid "Warning: Shipping method required!" message. Finally managed to fix it and start selling tea with proper shipping via AusPost and Mijoshop.
Hope this helps anyone else that tried to work with Mojoshop, AusPost and Joomla. Happy me and happy girlfriend. Now back to selling tea!
