Have you ever been hacked or managed a websites for a client that has been hacked? Or have you spent hours trying to optimise a website and get the best speed out of it?

If you haven't heard of CloudFlare yet then it might be something worth having a look at. Not only does it help block possible security threats at the DNS level but also helps speed up your website by caching certain elements to make it faster.

Check out this short 90 second video which explains how CloudFlare works.

We've been using CloudFlare for many websites over the past year and I have to say it does help speed up your websites and the sites that we do have CloudFlare on haven't been hacked since.

It can be annoying at times when you're developing on the website and it isn't updating due to CloudFlare's cache but overall its a pretty good system in speeding up your website and protecting it from hackers.
